August 21st, 2015

Hillsboro, Oregon - Effective immediately, Dr. Linda Hirschy has been promoted to General Sales Manager, Hinds Instruments, Inc.   Linda joined the company in 2004 as Marketing Applications Scientist, a role which has given her a unique insight into many of the company’s core markets over the years. During this time, she has worked closely with many strategic customers, including early adopter technology market leaders and OEMs.  Among her colleagues, Linda is known as an effective leader-communicator, with a strong set of business and customer relationship skills. Tom Hinds, VP, commented “Linda has a solid grasp of Hinds Instruments’ technology and products, as well as our customers’ applications and business requirements.  We look forward to utilizing her leadership skills in the continuing development of our sales and distribution program.”   One of Linda’s first priorities is to hire a new Systems Sales Specialist to work alongside Connie Wimmer, veteran Component Sales Specialist.  Prior to joining Hinds Instruments, Linda held scientific and marketing management positions at Tektronix (now, Danaher); managed industrial analytical laboratories; and taught IB and AP Physics and Chemistry in the Beaverton (Oregon) School District.   Linda holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Florida, and has several patents in ink jet technology and synthetic organic chemistry.
