Hinds’ SCU signal conditioning unit is used with PEM applications where both AC and DC signals need to be measured. The SCU-100 separates the AC and DC signals and applies selectable amplification.

The signal conditioning unit provides two outputs, broadband AC and low-pass DC, both of which are suitable for use with a lock-in amplifier. It also provides power for the DET-100 detectors.
This instrument is particularly useful for normalizing signals by creating a ratio of the AC to DC signals.
