PM IRRAS

PM-IRRAS stands for Polarization Modulation Infrared Reflection-Absorption Spectroscopy. It is the differential IR absorption between the s- and p-linearly polarized light for the molecules adsorbed on a metal surface.

SETUP

  • PEM setting: half-wave retardation (λ/2)
  • Polarization modulation: between s-, and p- polarization
  • Lock-in reference: PEM’s 2nd harmonic (2f)

APPLICATIONS

In surface science, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, and electrochemistry

PEMs
