Returns Policy

Hinds Instruments makes every attempt to ensure that the instruments we supply are of the highest quality and workmanship. We also aim to provide superior technical user support. If you have any questions, or if you encounter problems in the operation of your instrument, please contact us. Our customer service staff is available to assist you from 8:00AM to 4:00PM, Pacific Standard Time, Monday through Friday.

BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING

Hinds Instruments provides worldwide service for our Dealers and End-users alike. If your Hinds instrument ever needs repair, please contact us before either attempting repairs yourself or returning it to us. We may be able to provide additional trouble-shooting suggestions to help diagnose the problem. In the event it is necessary to return the unit to us, we will give it our prompt and professional attention.

RETURN FOR REPAIR PROCEDURE

In the event of defects or damage to your unit, first contact us. Give us a brief description of the problem. We will then advise whether factory repair is indicated, and what needs to be returned. If factory service is required, we will give you a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and specific instructions for your instrument. Returns should always be sent freight prepaid and insured.

If your unit is under warranty, we will pay the shipping costs to return it to you after repair or replacement has been completed. We will ship via a carrier we choose to any destination within the continental U.S.A. If you desire some other specific form of conveyance, or if you are located outside the continental U.S.A., then you must bear the additional cost of return shipment.

If your unit is not under warranty, we will contact you with an estimate of the repair charges. If you authorize us to proceed, then we will return your repaired unit after all charges (including parts, labor and return shipping and handling) have been paid. If you do not approve of our proceeding with the repair, then your unit will be returned as is via UPS COD for the amount of the UPS COD freight charges.
